About the Facilitator:
Hello! I'm Kate Reed. I've been doing art all my life. I love color, figurative paintings, and anything creative. In my career I've participated in gallery shows, painted murals, and destroyed far too many shirts by getting paint everywhere. Feel free to check out my Instagram: @openskycrow or my work at katereed.com
Supported by the Visual Arts/Gallery Guild
The visual arts guild was started as a way for artists to have workspace even if they aren’t renting a studio. It’s meant for anyone who is practicing traditional arts and crafts. A place to share skills, create art together, or have some chill space to make something on your own. Shelves are available for rent at $5 a month. We have a large variety of art and craft supplies that are free for member use. Every Thursday is Parallel play night from 5-8. It's a super low key way to meet people, create work, and have cookies. Bring a project or raid the supply cabinet and join in! We also host the mosaic club in our space and can show you how to get started in mosaics if you desire. The visual arts guild also runs the gallery space downstairs which offers space for classes and hosts the monthly First Friday Art Walks and Model Drawing every 4th Sunday.
